Saturday Soiree.

A couple of years ago, I was flipping through a Martha Stewart Living magazine and came across an article about a woman who threw a brunch for her girlfriends and then had all of them make a flower arrangement to take home.

As soon as I started reading, I knew that I needed to re-create one of these events for my own friends!
Because how could you possibly go wrong with food, flowers and friends?!

So after planning it over a month ago, I finally was able to host one of these get togethers this past weekend.
I can't say it wasn't a lot of work, but it's always so worth it!

I will try to talk less and let the pictures do most of the talking.
It rained most of the day, but there was a little sun break, so I was able to get some decent pictures.

I always say I'm a planner and plan things WAY ahead, but really I just plan the broad spectrum and leave the details til the day before. I find that's when most of my inspiration comes.

I knew I wanted the feel to be bright and fresh, as if it were already Spring outside.

And what better way to do that than with bright, colorful blooms.

I stopped into Tuesday Morning and found the gorgeous, floral napkins, plastic silverware {that look so real!} and plastic plates, and they were absolutely perfect!

My green glasses I thrifted and I love that they work year round, for any season or event- Christmas or Summer time!

Most of my flowers I was able to pick fresh from a friends flower garden and the white ranunculus I got at Trader Joe's.
I don't drink, but give me a flower cart any day!!!

My flower arrangement I made the night before and it was still fresh and pretty the next day.

I had the girls each bring 2 bouquets of flowers to share and we had just enough for everyone to make a gorgeous arrangement.

Are they not SO beautiful!!! The girls and flowers…

There were even a few blooms left over for Isabelle to make one.
I helped a tiny bit, but the girls got talent- She totally knew what she was doing!

I hate that something that takes so long to plan, goes by so fast.
I'm already planning another one, when it's nice out, so we can do brunch on the back porch, in the warm sun. I live in Oregon, I could use a little vitamin D, folks.

Between the brunch, time change and throwing Noah a birthday party yesterday, I'm completely exhausted and feel like I can sleep for 24 hrs, but it's Monday and I have a list as long as Rapunzel's hair to keep me busy.

Have a great week, ladies!!!

xo, Vera
